Why we do this
This area deserves
a place like this.
The Catskills is full of talented makers, healers, teachers, and growers — people with something real to offer, who never had a low-risk place to offer it. The barrier was always the same: a lease, a build-out, a large upfront investment.
Common Ground is designed to remove that barrier. A shared space where you can test your idea, build your audience, generate income, and grow — at your own pace, with real support around you.
For visitors and neighbors, it's a place to slow down. To find something handmade, to learn something new, to sit with your coffee and feel like you belong somewhere.
Longer term, what we build here — the vendors who earn income, the small businesses that find their footing — feeds a bigger goal: supporting the kind of economic vitality that makes a place worth living in, and helps more people do exactly that.
Café
Coffee, pastries, and a reason to linger. A gathering point, not just a counter.
Retail
Curated goods from local makers and resident vendors — things you won't find on a shelf.
Events
Markets, workshops, classes, and pop-ups. The calendar is the heartbeat of the space.
What is Common Ground
"A shared space designed for the way small businesses actually work — flexible, affordable, and built on community."
Opening a storefront is expensive. Renting a studio is a long commitment. Common Ground solves that by giving local makers, wellness practitioners, educators, artists, and creatives a place to show up — on their own terms.
You bring the idea. We bring the space, the audience, and the infrastructure.
Stay in the loop.
Market dates, new events, vendor spotlights — in your inbox, not your feed.
